Union Budget 2024: The first budget of the third term of the Modi government was presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The budget is being discussed in Parliament from today i.e. Wednesday. Opposition MPs protested before the start of Parliament proceedings. During this, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that Lucknow has angered Delhi. Uttar Pradesh is missing from the budget.Many senior leaders including former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi participated in the opposition's protest. Talking to reporters during the protest, Akhilesh Yadav said, we were all demanding that farmers should get MSP, but the support price is given to those coalition partners instead of farmers who are saving their government.What else did Akhilesh Yadav say?Akhilesh Yadav further said, the government could not take any concrete steps regarding inflation. Uttar Pradesh did not get anything. UP should have got double benefit from the double engine government. I think the people of Lucknow have angered the people of Delhi. What is the benefit of a double engine government.In fact, this time BJP has got disappointment in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections. It was able to win only 33 seats. On the other hand, SP got 37 seats. Due to the poor performance of BJP in UP, Akhilesh said that Lucknow angered Delhi, due to which UP was missing from the budget.Sloganeering against the governmentIn the protest outside the Parliament, opposition MPs raised strong slogans against the government. Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that this budget is anti-people. He said, no one has got justice. Bihar and Andhra Pradesh have not got the status of special state.When asked whether the opposition parties will participate in the discussion on the budget, Kharge said, we will protest. Then we will see. In the meeting of the leaders of the House of the constituent parties of the India Alliance at Kharge's residence on Tuesday evening, it was decided to protest inside and outside the Parliament on this issue. Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal had said on Tuesday on this issue that the Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states will boycott the meeting of the NITI Aayog to be held on July 27.He also alleged that the attitude of this government towards constitutional principles is completely unethical. Earlier, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin had also announced to boycott the meeting of NITI Aayog.
