PM Modi Brunei Tour: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Brunei is proving to be an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations. On the first day of his visit, Prime Minister Modi visited the Saifuddin Mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei, where he watched a video on the historical significance of the mosque. Along with this, he met the people of the Indian community and inaugurated the Chancery of the High Commission of India in Brunei.Brunei Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah gave a grand welcome to Prime Minister Modi, in which he was also given a guard of honor. The main objective of Prime Minister Modi's visit to Brunei is to increase cooperation in defense, security, and bilateral trade between the two countries. On the occasion of completion of 40 years of diplomatic relations in 2024, cooperation between India and Brunei in the field of hydrocarbons, space technology, and health is likely to be discussed during this visit.Today, Prime Minister Modi will hold bilateral talks with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and leave for Singapore from Brunei. His program will also be grand in Singapore, which includes delegation-level talks and dinner with Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. During this visit, PM Modi will try to take bilateral relations to new heights, which will also promote important cooperation between India and Singapore.These sectors can be discussed during PM's visitThis is the first visit of any Indian Prime Minister to Brunei. The two countries have completed 40 years of diplomatic relations in 2024. PM Modi has come here on the invitation of Brunei Sultan Haji Hassan Al-Bolkiah. The purpose of PM Modi's two-day Brunei visit is to increase mutual relations between the two countries in defense, security and bilateral trade investment.India has invested $ 270 million in Brunei's hydrocarbon sector and it can be increased further to meet the needs of natural gas. It is known that there can be discussion on increasing mutual cooperation in space technology and health sector during PM Modi's visit.PM Modi's program in Singapore after BruneiPrime Minister Modi will meet Brunei President Hassanal Bolkiah today. He will attend several programs today. The PM will sign the MoU after delegation level talks at 8:20 am. After this, he will meet President Hassanal Bolkiah at Istana Nurul Iman at 8.30 am. He will have lunch with President Hassanal Bolkiah at 9.30 am. After completing the Brunei tour, Prime Minister Modi will visit Singapore today. The PM will leave for Singapore by plane at 1:50 pm. He will reach Changi Airport at 4:10 pm. From here he will reach Hotel Shangri La at 4:40 pm, where he will be welcomed. After this, dinner will be hosted by Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at 6:45 pm.
