Mumbai: The production process of films, TV shows and web shows has been put to halt w.e.f from 19th March 2020 owing to the Coronavirus crisis that has affected the entire country. Apart from that, the indefinite lockdown has further delayed the entire process. Finally, after a lot of consideration and meetings, the Government of Maharashtra has granted permission to the producers for resuming the shooting schedules of films, TV shows and web shows. However, this happens to be a conditional permission that comes with strict rules and guidelines.First of all, it has been left upon the producers as to when they want to resume the shooting schedules. Apart from that, these shoots can be resumed only after a proper health check up of the cast ad crew members. Most importantly, a shoot has to be stalled for 3 days if any COVID-19 patient is being detected there. Other than that, certain strict rules that need to be obliged with include the disinfection and sanitization of items, opening of doors and windows for ventilation, using eco-friendly utensils, usage of Aarogya setu app, crowd control, etc. Indian Film and TV Producers Council (IFTPC) chairman, TV and web wing, JD Majethia says, "We just received the order from Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray. We would want to thank him who has given an orderly note allowing us to resume shooting with guidelines. We will do this with lot of responsibilities. We are in the process of discussion with the producers, federations and broadcasters to decide on the date. Hopefully, we will all begin shooting together depending on who is prepared and to what capacity."
