Car sales in September 2022: The country's leading car maker Mahindra has released its car sales figures in September. The company has sold 64,486 units of vehicles last month, setting a record for car sales. This is the company's highest monthly sales. Mahindra has registered a growth of 129% as compared to last year. Apart from this, the company has also crossed the highest quarterly sales figure. Mahindra has also been number one in terms of SUV sales. The company said that Mahindra sold 34,262 units of the SUV in September and this is a growth of 166%.Strong sales even in electric three-wheelersThe company has also registered the highest ever monthly sales of electric three wheelers with 4,071 units. This is 170% more than a year ago. The company's exports for the month stood at 2,538 vehicles. Vijay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, Mahindra said, “September was a very exciting month with a strong start to the festive season.Great response to Scorpoi-NThe company has recently started the deliveries of its Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV. This SUV of the company has got a great response from the customers as soon as it is launched. Mahindra's Scorpio-N got more than one lakh bookings in just 30 minutes on the very first day. Apart from this, the demand for Thar and XUV700 has also been very strong.Mahindra had already announced that it will start delivering the Scorpio-N around the festive season and will try to complete 25,000 orders by the end of December. The Mahindra Scorpio-N is powered by a petrol engine that makes 200PS and 380Nm. Its diesel engine is capable of producing 175 PS and 400 Nm. It gets features like 12-speaker Sony system with 3D surround system, Apple Car Play and Android Auto support, 20.32-cm infotainment screen, widest sunroof in the segment, black leatherette seats, and 70+ connected cars.
