West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chairperson Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday commenced her marketing campaign for the Bhabanipur poll by addressing an assembly of party supporters withinside the constituency. She focused on the BJP for allegedly indulging in political vendetta.
“Just after the bypoll dates are announced, Trinamool Congress [TMC] leaders are being summoned via way of means of Central companies. Notices are being despatched to Abhishek [TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee] and Partha [TMC chief Partha Chatterjee),” she said. She dared the companies to probe the allegations in opposition to Mr Banerjee.
Her comments come after the Enforcement Directorate served a 2nd observe to Mr Banerjee in a coal pilferage case.
