Haryana - 'Mhara Bana-Purda Mukt Haryana' campaign will intensify amid the noise of hijab, thousands of women have joined so far
Women Khap in Haryana has decided to intensify their special campaign 'Mhara Bana-Purda Mukt Haryana' amidst increasing protests over the issue of Hijab in the country. The women Khap of Haryana wants that there should be no veils anywhere for women in our dress. The veil should be a matter of women's choice. In the wake of the hijab controversy in Karnataka, Haryana has become an example in the country in keeping its women free from veils. Dr. Santosh Dahiya, the national president of Sarvjatiya Sarva Khap's women's wing and has been awarded the President's Award, had started a special campaign 'Mhara Bana-Parda Mukt Haryana' in the year 2014 in Haryana. However, the veil has a special significance in the culture of Haryana. In most of the villages of the state, the veil (veil) system has been there for a long time. But in the last eight years, due to the efforts of conscious women, this practice has come out of the realm of parochialism. Along with women's Khaps, various organizations of progressive women, taking forward this campaign effectively, even administered an oath to the women in the villages to become aware of the veil system.Explained to the elderly, respect does not move by sliding the veilThere are about 180 Khaps in Haryana, who have a great influence in the culture, dress, ways of living and social work of the state. Dr. Santosh, also the president of Dahiya Khap, says that the beginning of this campaign was not easy in the initial phase. The elders believed that if the veil slips from the heads of daughters-in-law and daughters-in-law, then the feeling of respect for their elders will also drop from within them. She says it took a long time to change this mindset. Initially, many Khaps were opposed to this, but through various Panchayats and Mahapanchayats, it was explained to them that how this veil is hindering the progress of our daughters, they are losing their confidence. It was also explained to them that respecting the elders is a part of the rituals of Haryanvi daughters-in-law, which they are taught since childhood. Eventually the elders began to understand and this campaign gained strength. The girls of Haryana are buried in every field of successDr. Satosh believes that women living in a veil have relatively little self-confidence, they themselves have suffered this pain, but this campaign is paying off and today the girls of Haryana are proud of their success in the fields of sports, education, technology etc. Sticking sticks. This campaign will now be intensified further in the villages and his organization is determined to eliminate this practice completely. The way the controversy has arisen in the country regarding the hijab and it is now being given a political form, in view of this, the members of the women khaps have been instructed to intensify the purdah-free Haryana campaign. In every district, women's teams are going from village to village to make women aware about it. Girls should become progressive. They should not give any such opportunity to anyone that anyone can do politics on any of their customs or traditions. - Dr. Santosh Dahiya, National President, Women's Wing of Sarvjatiya Sarva Khap
