What's in the new plates?The new shoulder straps designed by the Indian Navy for Admirals are inspired by the naval insignia and posture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. There are mainly five marks in it. The first is a golden navy button, the second is an octagon with Ashoka mudra, the third is a sword, the fourth is a telescope and the fifth is water stars according to the rank of officers. In this, the Rear Admiral's patka will have two stars but the outline of the patka will be black. The Serge Rear Admiral's plaque will also have two stars, but the outline of this plaque will be red.Apart from this, the Vice Admiral's plaque will have three stars. The outline of this plate will also be black. The Serge Vice Admiral's plaque will also have three stars, but the outline of this plaque will be red. Apart from this, the shoulder plaque of the Navy Chief i.e. Admiral will have four stars and the outline of this plaque will also be black.
