MP Politics: A big political news has come out from Madhya Pradesh early in the morning. CM Mohan Yadav's cabinet has been expanded. Ramniwas Rawat, who left Congress and joined BJP, has taken oath as a minister. Ramniwas Rawat is an MLA from Vijaypur assembly of Sheopur district and is considered a big leader of the OBC community.

Who is Ramniwas Rawat?

Ramniwas Rawat has been an MLA from Vijaypur seat for 6 times and has also been a minister in the Digvijay government earlier. He has contested the Lok Sabha elections from Congress against former Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar.

What is the reason for displeasure with Congress?

Ramniwas Rawat is counted among the senior leaders. He got angry with the Congress because he was constantly being ignored by the high command. He was not even made the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, this was also an important reason for his displeasure. Apart from this, when there was a Kamal Nath government in the state, even then he was not given any post.

When did he leave Congress and join BJP?

On April 30, in a public meeting, Ramniwas Rawat took membership of BJP in the presence of CM Dr Mohan Yadav, State President VD Sharma and Dr Narottam Mishra. This was quite shocking news for the Congress. On Sunday, Ramniwas Rawat organized a Kalash Yatra for the 7-day long Bhagwat Katha. After this, he left for Bhopal on the call of CM House.

Ramniwas is a 6-time MLA

Earlier, CM Mohan Yadav had met Governor Mangubhai Patel at Raj Bhavan yesterday on Sunday evening. Then sources had told that the cabinet expansion to be held on Monday morning at 9 am would be done. However, it was not disclosed how many new people would be included in the cabinet tomorrow, but it was also being claimed that only one new member would be sworn in as a minister.

Ramniwas Rawat, who was a 6-time MLA from Vijaypur assembly seat of Sheopur district, has been included in the Mohan Yadav cabinet. Rawat joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) about 2 months ago on 30 April during the Lok Sabha election campaign.

Rawat can resign from the post of MLA

Although it has been more than 2 months since Ramniwas Rawat joined the ruling BJP, he has not yet resigned from the MP Assembly as a Congress MLA. However, sources related to BJP said that there is a possibility that after taking oath as a minister, Ramniwas may resign from his post as a Congress MLA.

After becoming a minister, Rawat can submit his resignation from the post of MLA to the Assembly Speaker. After this, re-election will be held on his assembly seat.
