Mother had gone to work, the only blind-disabled girl in the house was raped by a real uncle

A shameful incident has come to the fore in Kapurthala. The blind and handicapped daughter of a widow woman was raped by her real uncle. The uncle living in the neighborhood carried out the incident after finding the niece alone in the house. On the complaint of the victim's mother, the police of Fattudhinga police station has arrested the accused after registering a case of rape.

According to the police, a woman resident of Kapurthala told in her complaint that her husband had passed away about three years ago. She takes care of her five children by working as a nurturing labor and working in people's homes. Her 21-year-old daughter is handicapped and visually impaired since childhood. The complainant woman said that on April 7, she had gone to work at the village landlord's house at 7:30 am. His daughter was alone in the house. When she came back home at around 11:30, her girl was sitting in panic. On enquiry, he told that the uncle living in the neighborhood had come and they forced him to do so. Inspector Balwinder Singh, SHO of Fattudhinga police station said that on the complaint of the victim's mother, a case has been registered against the accused and he has been taken into custody.
