Muslim organizations warned the government on UCC, said- 'Abandon the intention of UCC'

In this sequence, today on Friday, several Muslim organizations held a meeting in Delhi.

Shariat Act linked to the religious identity of Muslims

A joint statement was issued after this meeting. In this statement it was said that the foundation of Muslim personal law is the Shariat Application Act 1937. It is directly linked to the religious identity of the country's Muslims. In a statement issued by Muslim organizations, it has been said that all the rules made in this act are proved by the verses of Quran Sharif and Hadith, so all Muslim organizations appeal to the Government of India to make Uniform Civil Law affecting Muslim Personal Law. Discard the intent of the code.

'Muslims should oppose this law'

In the statement issued after this meeting of all the major Muslim organizations of the country, it has been said that the religious freedom given in the constitution of the country should be respected by the government. Apart from this, Muslim organizations have appealed to the Muslims to send as many objections as possible to the Law Commission before July 14 and oppose the Uniform Civil Code.
