Haryana New Government: Haryana BJP has called an important meeting of the Legislature Party in Chandigarh today, which will be held at the residence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. This meeting is being held for the second time after the formation of the government, in which the final decision will be taken on the names of the Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker. According to sources, the name of Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan is at the forefront for the post of Speaker, while Jind MLA Krishna Midda is considered to be the main contender for the post of Deputy Speaker.The name of Moolchand Sharma is also being considered, who is a three-time MLA and has been a minister in the previous government, but has not been included in the cabinet this time. However, Harvinder Kalyan's name is considered almost certain for the Speaker.Apart from Krishna Lal Middha, the names of Safidon MLA Ram Kumar Gautam and Hansi MLA Vinod Bhayana are also in discussion for the post of Deputy Speaker. Apart from this, any of the first-time MLAs can also be given the post of party vice-president.Out of the 48 BJP MLAs, 22 are first-timers, of whom only three- Arti Rao, Shruti Choudhary, and Gaurav Gautam- have been inducted into the Cabinet. In the recent Assembly elections, the BJP won for the third time in a row, while the Congress was reduced to 37 seats. The INLD got 2 seats, and the JJP got none.
