Coronavirus India - Next Covid wave will reach its peak faster if: Centres warning
Coronavirus India | The second wave of corona virus has started slowing down in the country. The number of cases reported on a daily basis is decreasing rapidly. The death toll is also continuously decreasing. Compared to the orgy caused by the epidemic in the month of April-May, now far fewer cases are being received. Meanwhile, the central government has once again issued a warning regarding Corona. NITI Aayog member VK Paul has said that if people start doing the same thing as they were doing in December, January, then once again the difficult phase may come.According to the data of the Union Health Ministry, there is a decline of 68 percent in the daily cases being reported now compared to the peak of the second wave on May 7. In about 377 districts, the positivity rate is less than five percent and there are only 257 districts, where more than 100 new cases of corona virus are being reported daily.Dr. VK Paul said, it is not happening by itself. There's no rush... that's the price we paid. We have made it difficult for the virus to travel. But we have to remember that when the peak is decreasing we will start doing what we were doing in January, then the peak may come back again. It is mathematically valid and also valid in common sense. He further said, "If we suddenly go back to January, February situation, then the next wave will be faster and reach its peak faster. But if we maintain the proper handling of COVID, the wave will be small and may not come. We have to make sure that before that as many people as possible have been vaccinated against Corona.Experts believe that the third wave of corona epidemic in India is also possible in the same way as the second wave was. But its timing and impact cannot be estimated as it will depend on lifting of restrictions and expansion of vaccine coverage etc. It is also predicted that the third wave may affect children, for which the state governments are increasing the COVID care facilities for children. However, the government and AIIMS director Guleria have said that there are no indications that the third wave will be more deadly on children. Despite all this, the Center has also issued guidelines for the care and protection of children infected with Kovid and has fixed certain responsibility on the states, district magistrates, police, panchayati raj institutions and urban local bodies.
