Bangladesh Violence: Violence and protests continue even after the formation of the interim government in Bangladesh. Interim government leader Mohammad Yunus has strongly condemned the attack on Hindus and minorities. Despite this, reports of violence are being received in the country. According to the Dhaka Tribune report, protesters attacked the army in Gopalganj area in which more than five army personnel were injured. On Saturday, after a fierce clash between army personnel and Awami League supporters, the mob set an army vehicle on fire. About 15 people, including army personnel, journalists and locals, have been injured in this incident. Two of the injured have been shot. The incident took place at Gopinathpur bus stand in Sadar Upazila at around 4 pm on Saturday.Demanding the return of Sheikh Hasina to the countryDemanding the return of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the country, thousands of Awami League leaders, activists and locals gathered to block the highway by protesting. Army personnel intervened and instructed the protesters to vacate the road but the crowd started throwing bricks at them. Later, the army personnel used batons to disperse the crowd, in response to which the protesters vandalized the army vehicle and set it on fire.Lieutenant Colonel gave informationLieutenant Colonel Maksudur Rahman of Gopalganj Camp confirmed the incident and said that around 3,000 to 4,000 people had gathered and blocked the road. Four army personnel were injured in this attack by the miscreants. Lachhu Sharif, former president of Gopinathpur Sangh, said that the army members had opened fire to control the situation. After this, “two people including a child were shot. No one has died in the incident. The situation in the area calmed down around 6 pm on Saturday.
