Yogi Cabinet News: Yogi Adityanath cabinet has expanded in Uttar Pradesh. In the cabinet expansion, the Governor has administered the oath of office to four new faces as ministers. Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Omprakash Rajbhar is also included in these four faces. After ending almost four years of exile, Om Prakash Rajbhar once again joined the Yogi cabinet. Due to dissatisfaction with BJP and Yogi government, Rajbhar along with two of his ministers resigned from the cabinet in May 2019.

In the swearing-in ceremony held at Raj Bhawan in Lucknow, along with Omprakash Rajbhar, BJP leader Dara Singh Chauhan, RLD MLA Anil Kumar and BJP leader Sunil Kumar Sharma took oath as Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister. After joining Yogi cabinet, Rajbhar said that we keep working continuously towards the goal of serving the poor. We will work to take the schemes of the government to the poor and weaker sections and provide them justice.

Why did Rajbhar separate from NDA in 2019?

After resigning from Yogi cabinet in the year 2019, Omprakash Rajbhar had fiercely attacked BJP. Rajbhar had then said that BJP was not ready to give him a seat in the Lok Sabha elections. He had claimed that BJP wanted him to contest the Lok Sabha elections on the lotus symbol only. It is not hidden from anyone how Om Prakash Rajbhar made statements against the Yogi government as well as the Modi government after separating from the NDA.

After resigning from the cabinet, Rajbhar had also accused the Yogi government of betraying the OBC community. Rajbhar had even said that BJP had reneged on the promise of conducting caste census in UP. However, after Rajbhar's resignation, one more thing was floating in the politics of UP which was regarding the transfer of DM of Ghazipur.

Rajbhar wanted transfer of Ghazipur DM

Just a few months after becoming a minister in the Yogi government, Rajbhar had opened a front against the then DM of Ghazipur. It is said that Rajbhar was continuously pressurizing the Yogi government to transfer that DM, but the government kept ignoring his words. When Rajbhar felt that when the DM is not being transferred on the orders of a minister, then what is the point of being in power. After this he decided to separate from the government.

By 2022, Akhilesh is with Yadav.

After separating from the Yogi government, Omprakash Rajbhar started moving closer to the Samajwadi Party led by Akhilesh Yadav. With the 2022 assembly elections in UP approaching, Rajbhar and Akhilesh Yadav have become friends. An alliance was formed and they contested the assembly elections together. Seeing the direction of the winds, Rajbhar had entered the fray with Akhilesh Yadav, as the elections approached, the direction of that wind changed. Yogi government returned again in UP and BJP won with a bumper seat.

Yogi government had made a strong comeback in the elections

Samajwadi Party got defeated in the assembly elections. BJP won 255 seats on its own, allies also performed brilliantly. The opposition Subhaspa got 6 seats and the Samajwadi Party got 111 seats. After SP's crushing defeat in the elections, Rajbhar was neither here nor there. One year after the elections, Rajbhar's mood changed again and he gradually started coming closer to BJP. In July 2023, Rajbhar met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi and on the same day it was announced to join NDA.

Four years of exile ended

After joining NDA, the discussion about Rajbhar joining Yogi cabinet also intensified. It was said that Yogi Adityanath was not willing to include Rajbhar again in the cabinet. Some people also believed that BJP was waiting for the right time to include Rajbhar in the cabinet. After waiting for cabinet expansion for about five months, in December last year, Rajbhar once again reached Delhi and met BJP national president JP Nadda. However, after all the speculations, Rajbhar has now become a part of the Yogi government. In this way, Rajbhar has ended his four-year exile and has also become a minister.
