Lok Sabha Election: Voting is being held across the country today i.e. on Saturday for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections. Voting will continue till 6 pm. As the temperature of the day is increasing, the rhetoric has also intensified. Samajwadi Party has accused the UP Police that SP candidate Lalji Verma from Ambedkar Nagar seat of Purvanchal has been placed under house arrest.The party has posted a video on Twitter giving this information and has raised questions on the Election Commission. From this seat, BJP has made Ritesh Pandey the candidate against Lalji Verma, while Mayawati has expressed her trust on Qamar Hayat. A total of 8 candidates are trying their luck from this seat.What did SP allege?Samajwadi Party tweeted on Twitter, "It is reported that at the behest of Yogi government, the police reached the house of SP candidate Lal Ji Verma from Ambedkar Nagar with party force and placed the candidate under house arrest and prevented Dalits and backward minorities from voting. Used to be." Further, the party made serious allegations against the Election Commission and wrote, “Under what rules is the police doing this and is this your impartiality? Hey Election Commission, shame on you, for how long will you dance shamelessly on the tune of BJP?Lal ji Verma has joined SP from BSP.In 2019, Ritesh Pandey of BSP had won this seat, at that time there was an alliance of SP-BSP. Now Ritesh Pandey is contesting from this seat on BJP ticket. Lalji Verma has also joined SP from BSP before the 2022 assembly elections.SP had given him ticket from Katehari assembly seat of the city. He is currently MLA from Katehari seat and candidate from Ambedkar Nagar seat INDIA Block.
