PM Modi in Guyana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Indian community in Georgetown, Guyana and underlined the importance of Indian culture and heritage. He invited the Indian community to attend the Maha Kumbh 2025 to be held in Prayagraj and visit the Shri Ram temple being built in Ayodhya. The Prime Minister said, "Mahakumbh will be held from January 13 to February 26 next year. I invite all of you to join this event with your family and friends." He called upon the Indian diaspora to stay connected to their roots and experience Indian culture.India in 10 years: A symbol of economic and technological advancementThe Prime Minister drew attention to India's progress, saying that the country has developed at an unparalleled pace in the last decade. He said, "India has traveled from the 10th largest economy to the 5th largest economy in just 10 years. Soon, we will become the third largest economy in the world." He lauded the contribution of India’s youth, saying that their efforts have made India the third largest startup ecosystem in the world.The Prime Minister also pointed out that India’s digital public infrastructure is playing a key role in empowering the poor. “Over 500 million bank accounts have been opened, which have been linked to digital identity and mobile services, thereby delivering government assistance directly into the accounts of beneficiaries,” he mentioned.India and Guyana: Cultural Connectivity and PartnershipPrime Minister Modi underscored the historic ties between India and Guyana. “India and Guyana take pride in their rich and diverse culture.
