This has to be understood. If we understand it in simple language then biofuel is the fuel which is prepared from trees, plants, grains or food waste. This mainly includes ethanol, biodiesel and biogas.Today, while presenting the proposal of Biofuel Alliance, PM Modi talked about increasing the use of biofuel and mixing up to 20 percent ethanol in petrol, on which all the countries agreed.Partnership will increase regarding biofuelAlso, PM Modi invited the rest of the countries of the world to join the Global Biofuel Alliance. With the participation of different countries, it will be a global alliance, in which all the countries will together increase mutual partnership regarding biofuel.PM Modi said that all the countries of the world should work together on fuel. We propose to take ethanol blending in petrol to 20 percent and the time has come to take initiative for this at the global level. Its objective is to increase the use of biofuel and strengthen its global market. The aim is to facilitate mutual trade of biofuels between countries and to provide technical assistance to each other regarding biofuel production.America and Brazil are considered world leaders in terms of biofuel production. Both these countries are part of G-20, so this alliance can prove to be a milestone in this direction.Biofuel will be the fuel of India's futureAmerica produces 57.5 billion liters of ethanol every year and Brazil produces 35.6 billion liters of ethanol. India is making rapid efforts in this direction and last year India produced 3 billion litres. In this, let us remind you that recently a prototype type of car running completely on ethanol has been launched in the country. It is clear from this that India has considered biofuel as the fuel of the future and wants to move rapidly in this direction.Let us tell you that the use of biofuel will reduce dependence on natural fuel. It will also help in preventing pollution, because biofuel has less carbon content than natural fuel.Representatives from various countries including Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also participated in this session.
