J&K Election 2024 - PM Modi reached the BJP Central Election Committee meeting
J&K Election 2024: BJP's Central Election Committee has held an important meeting regarding the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda along with prominent leaders like Dr. Jitendra Singh, Sudha Yadav and Iqbal Singh Lalpura have also participated. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the list of candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections.Elections have not been held in Jammu and Kashmir for the last 10 years. There are a total of 90 assembly seats in the state, out of which 47 are located in Kashmir and 43 in Jammu. With the increase in the number of seats in the Jammu region, the BJP has great expectations from here. After the removal of Article 370 and accelerating development work, the party is also expected to get support in the Kashmir region. BJP's first list can potentially be released by late night.At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Ghulam Nabi Azad's Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) have also released their first list of candidates. The AAP has released a list of 7 candidates, while the DPAP has announced 13 names.The elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases: the first phase will be held on September 18, the second on September 25 and the third on October 1. Voting for the Haryana Assembly will also be held on October 1, and the election results for both states will be declared on October 4.
