Independence Day is celebrated on 24 August in Ukraine. This visit of PM Modi is considered very important amid the war going on between Russia and Ukraine since February 2022. Actually, India's relations with Russia are also very good, after which it is believed that after this visit of PM Modi, some way of ceasefire may emerge between the two countries.

Why is PM Modi's visit to Ukraine important?

The war between Russia and Ukraine has been going on since February 2022, this war has now been going on for more than 882 days. So far thousands of people have died in this war and many have been injured. This will be PM Modi's first visit to Ukraine after the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Earlier, PM Modi visited Russia on 8-9 July and met President Putin there. During his visit to Russia, PM Modi talked to Putin about peace.

During the phone conversation, President Zelensky invited PM Modi to visit Ukraine.
