Mumbai: Police has got a big success in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Naxalite couple of Gadchiroli famous and prized in lakhs have surrendered in front of the police. Both had a reward of around Rs 12 lakh. The names of the surrendered Naxalites are Vikas Sukant Vinod Pada and Raji Debo. Both were associated with Naxalite organizations for about 10 years. Gadchiroli SP Ankit Goyal said that two Naxalites of PLGA Naxalite organization have surrendered in front of Gadchiroli Police. Both are husband and wife. Many cases are registered against both of them and a reward of Rs 12 lakh was placed on both of them by the Maharashtra government.

The Naxalite couple had considerable influence in the area. Both have been considered dangerous Naxalites. SP Ankit Goel said that both were associated with Naxalite organizations for more than 10 years, but they started getting disturbed by the bloody message and bloody action of Naxalites. After this both of them made up their mind to leave this bloody ideology and today both have surrendered.

Gadchiroli is a stronghold of Naxalites in Maharashtra. Recently, Naxalites had an encounter with the police in Gadchiroli, in which a police constable was also injured. When a team of Special Combat Unit C60 commandos of Gadchiroli Police was on patrol, the Maoists who were ambushed opened fire on the commando team. After that the commandos also retaliated. Earlier in April, Naxalites attacked Gadchiroli and killed two villagers. Although both the villagers had earlier been in the Naxalite organization, but later they left the organization and started living a normal life. After this, both were murdered by accusing them of informers. Both were only around 20 years old. In November last year, Milind Teltumbde, a prominent leader of Naxalites, was killed in an encounter. Along with him, 25 Naxalites were also eliminated. Teltumbde had a reward of 50 lakhs.
