Earlier, Karnataka BJP MP S Muniswamy has alleged that farmers protesting at the borders of Delhi have been paid and brought to the agitation sites. The BJP MP from Kolar went on to say that those agitating against the firm laws at Delhi borders are middlemen and fake farmers, adding that they are eating pizza, burgers and have also set up a gym at the protest sites.Rajasthan BJP MLA Madan Dilawar had also made controversial remarks against the agitating farmers and alleged that they are conspiring to "spread bird flu” by “enjoying chicken biryani".“There may be terrorists, robbers and thieves among them and they may also be enemies of farmers. All these people want to ruin the country. If govt doesn't remove them from the agitation sites, then bird flu can become a big problem,” the BJP MLA had said. The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the implementation of the laws until further orders and pulled up the Centre over its handling of the farmers’ agitation. A bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde also set up a four-member committee to find an amicable solution to end the impasse over the laws between the Centre and farmers' unions. The Centre had told the top court that 'Khalistanis' have infiltrated into the ongoing farmers' protest at the Delhi borders. They (agitating farmers) do not even know what they want and what is the problem with the farm laws, which shows that they are doing this because someone asked them to do it: Hema Malini, BJP MP from Mathura (12.01.2021) pic.twitter.com/TvMluuIWGk
