Union Minister Raosaheb Danve on Sunday stated that the Railways has suffered losses to the tune of ₹36,000 crores at some stage in the coronavirus pandemic, and termed items trains because of the actual sales generators for the countrywide transporter. The Minister of State for Railways was talking at the foundation stone laying rite of an underbridge on the Jalna railway station.
"The passenger educate section constantly runs into losses. Since growing the ticket fares impacts the passengers, we can't do so. During the pandemic, the Railways suffered losses of ₹36,000 crores," he stated. "Only goods trains generate revenue. During the pandemic, those trains performed a critical position in carrying goods and supplying remedy to people," he added.
Mr Danve additionally spoke about approximately a bullet train project that could be completed alongside the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway, which is beneath neath production at present.
He stated this mission could be rolled out alongside the Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway because it is, “important for people”.
“The Railways has undertaken the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor mission, intending to join Navi Mumbai to Delhi,” Mr Danve added.
Additionally, he confident doubling of tracks among Nanded and Manmad stations, and stated he could test if the Jalna-Khamgaon railway line became possible or not.
