Uttar Pradesh | By calling Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, a youth threatened to kill him using abusive language. On receiving the information, the police registered a report against the unknown accused and started action.At around 11 am on Sunday morning, a call was received on the mobile of BKU national spokesperson Chaudhary Rakesh Tikait. The young man gave his name as Sanju. Threatened to kill Rakesh Tikait by indecently. The matter was reported to the Police Station Civil Lines. SSI Rakesh Sharma of Police Station Civil Line reached Rakesh Tikait's residence on Circular Road and inquired about the matter. The police started investigation by taking the threatening mobile number on surveillance. In this regard, a report has been lodged against the unknown on behalf of Rampuri resident of Prajwal Tyagi at the Civil Lines police station. Police station in-charge Bijendra Singh Rawat told that the matter is being investigated. He said that not only him but the family members are being threatened by calling from the number of the caller. He said that he was threatened several times in 13 months during the farmers' agitation, which he kept reporting to the Ghaziabad police. Cases were registered in some and investigations were conducted in some, but the accused were not arrested. In Muzaffarnagar also, a report of threatening was lodged earlier in a case, but no action was taken. Now after receiving threats again, the report has been registered, but action will be awaited. He said that if the police had taken effective action on the earlier complaints and arrested the accused, then such threats would have stopped.Muzaffarnagar SSP Abhishek Yadav said that on the complaint of threatening Rakesh Tikait, a case has been registered at the Civil Lines police station. The police is investigating the matter.
