Congress President Sonia Gandhi's personal secretary PP Madhavan has been accused of rape by a 26-year-old woman. On the complaint of the woman, the police registered a case on June 25 and started investigation. The woman has told in the complaint at Uttam Nagar police station that Madhavan had promised to get a job and get married. At present, the police is conducting raids in search of the accused. According to the victim, on January 21, 2022, the accused called the victim for an interview at a house in Sunder Nagar. It is alleged that the victim was raped several times.

Told myself divorced, promised marriage

In fact, during the investigation, the victim has told in the statement given to the police that PP Madhavan had promised to marry her. He had declared himself a divorcee. One day PP Madhavan was talking to the victim on the phone when suddenly he said that his wife has come to know about the victim. To hide this thing from his wife, he will now change her name in the phone and write, so that their relationship is not disclosed in front of the wife. However, after this incident, the victim started opposing Madhavan.

Threatened as soon as he pressurized marriage

When the victim came to know that Madhavan was married, she was first upset. She later decides that when Madhavan has made a relationship with her on the pretext of marriage, she will pressurize the marriage. When the victim pressured the marriage and stopped talking and messaging on the phone, Madhavan got angry. The victim alleges that after this, Madhavan in anger sent a man to the victim's house and threatened her of dire consequences if she did not talk. The victim has also alleged in her complaint that Madhavan had asked her to have a relationship with a leader, which she had also opposed.

The victim was made to sit in the police station till night

The victim said that she reached Uttam Nagar police station at 10 am to complain. Throughout the day, high officials kept coming to the police station. Late night his FIR was registered. According to the victim, she was kept in the police station till 3.30 pm.

Allegations against me baseless: Madhavan

Madhavan has termed the allegations against him as baseless. He said that allegations have been leveled against him to tarnish his image due to political vendetta. Madhavan said that through some media reports he has come to know that a case of sexual harassment has been registered against him at Uttam Nagar police station. He said that he had appeared at the Uttam Nagar police station on June 25 and had given an explanation on the matter, after which he was asked to leave. I have strong evidence that the case has been registered against me out of political vendetta. This is a conspiracy to defame me.
