It was announced in the budgetThe internship scheme for the youth was announced in the Union Budget 2024-25. Under this scheme, one crore youth will benefit in a period of 5 years. Internship facility will be provided to the youth in the top-500 companies. Here they will be given an internship allowance of Rs 5000 every month. The selected youth will get a monthly stipend of Rs 4500 from the government, while an additional Rs 500 will be given by the companies.
Application will be done through the official portalTo take advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme, youth can apply online through the official portal (https://pminternship.mca.gov.in/login/). For this scheme, candidates will have to fulfill some rules. Keep in mind that if you do not give the correct information at the time of application, then you may not be selected, which may cause you problems later.
Which documents will be required?First of all, you will need an Aadhar card. Along with this, you will also need all your educational certificates. You may also be asked for a current passport size photo. You may also have to give a self-declaration form for some needs.
Who will get the benefit of this scheme?The age of the youth should be between 21 years and 24 years. It is also important that he does not do a full time job. If a person from the candidate's family is a government employee, then he will also not be eligible for this scheme. Not only this, youth studying from prestigious institutions like IIT, IIM will also not be eligible for this scheme.
1 crore youth will get internshipUnder this scheme, internship opportunities will be provided for 1 crore youth. The internship program will be launched in two phases, aiming to train 1 crore youth in a period of five years.
Registration will be from 12-25 OctoberRegistration for internship will be open from October 12 to October 25, 2024. Selected candidates will be informed about this between October 27 and November 7, 2024 and companies will issue offers between November 8 and November 15. The first batch of interns is expected to start on December 2, 2024. The internship will last for 12 months. The scheme is estimated to cost Rs 800 crore.
