Former President of Janata Dal United (JDU) Sharad Yadav has breathed his last at the age of 75. During this, his daughter Subhashini Sharad Yadav informed by tweeting that father is no more. Actually, he breathed his last at Fortis Hospital. The departure of Sharad Yadav, who had a distinct identity in the politics of Bihar, has left everyone in grief. His socialist politics had made him popular among the public. He died at Fortis Hospital in Gurugram.


Sharad Yadav was the president of the party for a long time after the formation of Janata Dal in 2003. He was also a seven-time Lok Sabha MP. He was not seen in active politics for some time. Sharad Yadav represented the Lok Sabha four times from the Madhepura Lok Sabha constituency of Bihar. Twice he was elected MP from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Once reached the Lok Sabha from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh. Sharad Yadav was probably the first politician in India who was elected to the Lok Sabha from three states Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar. Sharad Yadav is considered the father of Indian politics. He also went to jail during Emergency.


Sharad Yadav was the convenor of the National Democratic Alliance. But when his party parted ways with the alliance, he resigned from the post of convenor. Sharad Yadav, considered an expert player of political alliances, was considered the political guru of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Born on 1 July 1947 in Babai village of Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, Sharad Yadav has held many important positions in the Government of India. His father's name was Nand Kishore Yadav and Sumitra Yadav. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Robertson College, Jabalpur. Most of his political career was in Bihar. He was married to Rekha Yadav on 15 February 1989. He has a son and a daughter.

However, before this he had also been a cabinet minister in Vajpayee government and VP Singh government. Where he became a Lok Sabha member for the first time in 1974. After this he became the President of Janata Dal in 1997.


After this, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha in the year 2014. During that time JDU was strengthened on the ground. Also, he was a leader who played an active role in many political events. Apart from this, Sharad Yadav had hoisted his political flag in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and then Bihar.
