J&K Election 2024: Voting is being held on 26 seats today in the second phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, in which about 25 lakh voters will decide the fate of 239 candidates. Some of the prominent candidates in this phase include former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Jammu and Kashmir Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hamid Karra and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravinder Raina. In this election, voting is being held for the first time in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi constituency. This new area created after delimitation is a new challenge for BJP candidate Baldev Raj Sharma. As voting is being held for the first time in this area, this is a historic moment for the people here.
