Chhattisgarh News: Security forces killed 30 Naxalites on Friday in Chhattisgarh. IG Sundarraj P. told Dainik Bhaskar that the bodies of 28 Naxalites have been recovered. Right now 34 Naxalites are reported to have been killed. Their number may increase.

The encounter took place in the forest between Nendur and Thulthuli villages of Orchha police station area on the border of Dantewada-Narayanpur district.

Firing continued intermittently for 2 hours during the encounter. After this, when the firing stopped, a search operation was conducted. By 6 pm, the soldiers also recovered a large quantity of AK-47, SLR and many other weapons.

IG Sundarraj has called it the biggest Naxal operation till date. About 6 months ago, 29 Naxalites were killed in Kanker.

Security forces have killed 171 Naxalites so far this year

This year, security forces have killed 171 Naxalites in different encounters in Bastar region. Bastar region includes 7 districts including Dantewada and Narayanpur.

On the other hand, this is the third encounter in 11 days. An encounter also took place in Sukma district on 24 September. During this, 2 Naxalites were killed in the encounter. However, both the bodies were taken away by their comrades.

3 female Naxalites killed a month ago

On 29 August, an encounter took place in Abujhmad area on Narayanpur and Kanker border. In this, 3 uniformed female Naxalites were killed. They were identified as members of North Bastar Division Committee and PLGA Company No. 05.

So far in 2024, more than 171 Naxalites have been killed in encounters. Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range Sundarraj P had told before the Dantewada encounter that more than 212 Naxalites have been arrested in the monsoon season itself in Bastar division. 201 Naxalites have also surrendered during the anti-Naxal operation.
