Bihar - Senior leader of rjd uday narayan choudhary raised question on liquor ban policy of bihar
Patna. Questions are being raised since the implementation of the prohibition law issued in Bihar. From the ruling party to the opposition, they have opposed the liquor ban implemented by the government. Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had even called it a draconian law. Now former Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly and RJD leader Uday Narayan Chowdhary is raising questions on this. He has raised the issue of atrocities on Pasi and Musahar communities under the guise of prohibition law.Giving a big statement on the liquor ban law in Bihar, former Assembly Speaker and RJD leader Uday Narayan Chaudhary has said that the strictness that is being adopted regarding the liquor ban law with full force is not sending a better message. Thousands of people of Pasi and Musahar community went to jail, everyone is being tortured. All are poor and backward. Looking at their problems, we should discuss how to create awareness among the people of Pasi and Musahar communities. It will not happen just by using the stick. We supported the prohibition law. We talk about the method of implementing the prohibition law and its public awareness.Uday Narayan Chowdhary says that this law was implemented with everyone's consent and everyone wants the prohibition law to be successful in Bihar, but the way Dalits are being tortured by making this law strict, it should be stopped. He said that many other laws have been made for social reform. Campaign is being run by the government for laws like dowry death, child marriage, in the same way, the government should run public awareness campaign to make the prohibition law successful. It is most needed in Dalit and especially in Musahar society.Instead of taking action against them by stricting the law, they need to be made aware. Uday Narayan Chowdhary had called the Grand Alliance government a lame government and after that, now after his statements on liquor ban also came to the fore, he has been advised by JDU as well. JDU's chief spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that Uday Narayan Chowdhary does not see how much change has taken place in the Dalits and Musahar society after the prohibition law was implemented. The liquor ban law was implemented on everyone's wish.
