Soldier tries to rape girl in toilet, throws him from moving train after shouting

In Maharashtra, an Army jawan tried to rape an 8-year-old girl in the toilet of a moving train. Not only this, when the girl bravely started shouting while fighting the 33-year-old accused, she threw the girl down from the train. It is being told that the girl is the daughter of a former soldier.

According to the agency's report, the 33-year-old jawan tried to rape the eight-year-old daughter of an ex-serviceman in the toilet of a moving train. But when the girl started fighting and started screaming, she threw her on the tracks. After this, the police took the details of the accused from the girl and started looking for her.

The incident took place in the Goa-Nizamuddin Express between Lonand and Salpa railway stations in Satara district of western Maharashtra, a senior official said.

Government Railway Police (GRP) Superintendent of Police (Pune Division) Sadanand Vise Patil said the girl was on her way to Delhi along with her mother, father, sister and brother. He said the accused has been identified as Prabhu Malappa Uphaar. When the girl was sleeping on her berth, he allegedly picked up the girl and took her to the toilet.

The SP said that when the accused tried to sexually assault her, the girl woke up and started screaming. The accused then told the girl that he was taking her back to her parents, but after coming out of the toilet, he pushed her down from the moving train.

Thankfully, the train was moving at a slow speed due to which the girl suffered less serious injuries. On Tuesday morning, some locals saw him lying on the railway track and took him to the hospital. At the hospital, the girl not only narrated the ordeal but also gave the details of the accused to the police.

The SP further said that based on the details of the man, we started a search operation in the train and ordered that no one should get down from the train. To ensure that the accused does not run away, at least 400 police and GRP constables boarded the train at various stations.

The SP said that during the search, the police identified at least 30 passengers whose details matched with the suspect. We shortlisted four suspects. out of 30 and finally identified the accused. We caught her when the train was near Bhusaval in North Maharashtra, later the girl was reunited with her family. Uphaar is a Naik rank jawan and is posted in Jhansi.
