Jharkhand Politics: The ongoing speculation regarding change of Chief Minister in Jharkhand has come to an end. Today in the meeting of Jharkhand Legislative Party, a unanimous decision was taken to retain Hemant Soren on the post of Chief Minister. Earlier there was speculation that after receiving continuous notices from ED, Hemant Soren may resign and his wife Kalpana Soren may take the reins of the state in his place.Actually, in the case of illegal mining, the ED team is raiding many places including Ranchi, Sahibganj and Deoghar. These raids are going on close to CM Hemant Soren. ED is also taking action against his media advisor Abhishek Prasad, Sahibganj Collector Ramniwas Yadav and former Deoghar MLA Pappu Yadav, Ranchi architect Binod Singh and contractor Saraogi.After the legislature party meeting, Congress MLA Pradeep Yadav said, "43 MLAs were present in the meeting and what has come to light is that Hemant Soren is the Chief Minister even today and will remain the Chief Minister in future too..."Let us tell you that ED has sent summons to Hemant Soren for the seventh time, after this there were speculations that he may resign and hand over the command of the state to his wife. But in the legislature party meeting, there was a discussion about the ED raid but it was unanimously decided that Hemant Soren would continue on the post of CM.Apart from his party, Soren had also called MLAs of allies Congress and RJD in this meeting. The total number of MLAs of Grand Alliance in Jharkhand is currently 48.
