Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has said that the government of India is working out all possible ways to ensure terrorism is wiped out of the Valley after two years.Speaking at the award ceremony of the EEPC India Northern Region Export on Wednesday, he said that law and order in the Union Territory has transformed a lot under the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre.“Many people worry about the law and order situation, I want to tell you that the situation has changed a lot. Some elements are trying, but I want to assure you that after two years, terrorism will not be seen in Jammu and Kashmir, The government is working in this direction,” Sinha said. His statements have come close on the heels of a major intel by security forces that around 38 terrorists from Pakistan are currently active in the Valley, against whom an operation is set to take place to eliminate the threats.Of the 38, 27 belong to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), while 11 are from Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), reports said last week. The terrorists have largely been traced in Srinagar, Baramulla, Kulgam and Pulwama districts of Jammu and Kashmir.Earlier, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) nabbed two more people accused in the J&K terror conspiracy case. They were identified as Rashid Muzaffar Ganaie and Nasir Mir, both residents of Sopore. The case pertains to a sinister terror plot to carry out extremist activities in J&K and other major cities across the country, including New Delhi, by cadres of proscribed terrorist outfits such as LeT, JeM, Hizbul-Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr, along with their affiliates such as The Resistance Front (TRF) and People Against Fascist Forces (PAFF), the central probe agency informed.
