According to the National High Speed Rail Corporation, a total of 19 bridges are being built in Gujarat for bullet trains. The longest 1260 meter bridge is being built over Narmada river in Bharuch district. It will be completed in July 2024. These double lined bridges are being made of steel and concrete. Similarly, a bridge is also being built on the Mahi river connecting Anand and Baroda. This river is also influenced by the Gulf of Khambat.General Manager Sindhudhar Shastri told that the bridge is very strong, so that there is no compromise in speed. Its age will be 100 years. 200-250 pillars are being built under this scheme. The construction of Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad out of total eight high speed railway stations is targeted to be completed by 2024. The pace has also been increased because of Gujarat elections. A total of 20 bridges are being built on the Sabarmati, Dhadhar, Mahi, Damanganga, Tapti rivers of the state.Bullet train will also be of two typesThere will be two types of bullet train. Like a Duronto will stop at fewer stations. The other will stop at all ie 12 stations. The speed of the high speed rail will be 320 km per hour. The train with limited number of stations will cover the distance from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in two hours. The second train will cover this distance in three hours as it stops at all the stations. Of the entire 508 km high speed rail corridor, 155 km is in Maharashtra, 4.3 km in the Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli and 348 km in Gujarat.Bullet will be available from above normal railway stationThere will be direct connectivity for the passengers of the bullet train. Bullet train stations are being built above Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Sabarmati railway stations. With this, passengers of trains running from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar will be able to reach these stations and go to the first floor and enjoy the ride of bullet train directly.Sabarmati station will be multi modal hubPassenger terminal will be built at Sabarmati station. There will also be two metro stations here. It will become a multi-modal hub for railway, metro and road transport. 11-12 platforms will be developed in Ahmedabad (Saraspur). There will be integrated transport here.
