The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the Edgbaston ground officials have taken cognizance of the incident of racism during the match and have promised to take action. Edgbaston's Chief Executive Officer said, 'I am shocked to hear such things, because we are creating a safe environment for everyone at Edgbaston. After the tweet, I personally spoke to that person and have started investigating the matter. The matter will be investigated expeditiously.ECB issued statementThe ECB issued a statement saying, 'We are deeply concerned by the reports of racist abuse in Test matches. We are in contact with colleagues at Edgbaston who will investigate the matter. There is no place for racism in cricket. Edgbaston is working hard to create a safe and inclusive environment.
