A fire broke out at Hotel Chanakya located on MI Road in the capital Jaipur at around 3 pm on Thursday night. The fire broke out in the hotel's rooftop bar and restaurant. Eight firefighters who reached the information brought the fire under control after a struggle of two and a half hours. Around eight people were trapped on the terrace during the incident. Police rescued people safely with the help of hydraulics. By the time firefighters brought the fire under control, the rooftop bar and restaurant were completely gutted.

According to the information, a bar and restaurant is running on the rooftop in the name of Hotel Night Jar. As soon as the flames rose, there was a stir among the people and staff staying at the hotel. Within no time the fire took a formidable form. On information, police and fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and rescue work was started.

People were evacuated by doing rescue operation

Seeing the horrific form of the fire, the employees picked up the people staying in the hotel and shifted them to a safe place. No casualty has been reported so far. On the other hand, it is not yet known how the fire started in the hotel. According to the information, there were no arrangements in the hotel to control the fire incident.
