People of Mali, Saini, Kushwaha, Shakya, Maurya and Kachi communities have blocked the highway between Aroda and Beri villages of Bharatpur demanding 12 percent reservation. In view of the situation, Divisional Commissioner Sanwar Mal Verma has extended the net ban in Vair, Bhusawar and Nadbai towns till 12 midnight on Sunday.

Talked to CM, way will be found soon

The delegation of the society met District Collector Alok Ranjan on Sunday night at 8 pm and submitted a memorandum demanding the release of the detained Saini community leaders. The meeting was held under the leadership of Phule Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti co-convenor Pappu Bhai Pradhan. Pappu Bhai Pradhan reached the collectorate and said that after talking to the CM, he has come to submit the memorandum. Talked to CM on phone. He talked about giving a memorandum to the District Collector. He also talked about sitting and talking. The CM said that give the memorandum, then whatever happens, you will be informed. CM is the leader of the people, why won't he listen to us. After submitting the memorandum, we will inform whether there will be a chakkajam on the highway or not. Talked to CM, now soon some way will be found.

The demand for 12 percent reservation is incomplete

Pappu Bhai Pradhan said that we had made an 11-point demand from the government with 12 percent reservation. Some demands were accepted. His announcement had already been made. The demand for 12% reservation is incomplete. We had warned the government that we will block the wheel. Now the message has come that come legally, you will be talked to.

Demand for the release of the leaders of Mali society

After receiving the memorandum, Collector Alok Ranjan said that he will inform the higher officials about the demands written in the memorandum, at present maintaining peace is the priority. In the memorandum, a demand has been made to release 26 leaders and youths of the society who were arrested for the highway jam. Will discuss this with the higher officials as to what can be done in this. The government is ready to talk. Their delegation is also meeting regularly.

At present, National Highway-21 has not been evacuated. People are still standing on the highway. According to sources, it is being said that only Murari Lal Saini will announce his withdrawal from the highway after his release.

Protesters are standing on the highway in Arora

Till Sunday night, near Arora village on National Highway-21, a large number of women, youth and elders of the society are standing with sticks in their hands. No vehicle coming from Jaipur or Agra is being allowed to pass through Arora village.

Vehicles going from Jaipur towards Agra are being diverted via Nagar-Bharatpur. On the other hand, vehicles going from Agra to Jaipur have been diverted from Uchain Tirahe and Dehra Mor.

Internet has been suspended in Vair Bhusawar and Nadbai towns till 12 midnight on Sunday. In such a situation, the students of these towns faced a lot of trouble. Throughout the day on Sunday, a crowd of students were engaged on e-mitras. Apart from this, traders were also worried. Business was affected due to the closure of online transactions.

Food coming from nearby villages

The agitators standing on the highway have put up tents on the National Highway to avoid the sun. Despite the dust storm and drizzle during the day on Sunday, people stood on the highway. From morning breakfast to lunch and dinner are also being served on the highway itself. A heavy police force is deployed about 1 kilometer away from the agitation site so that no unrest spreads.

The arrests took place when the notice did not appear

Collector Alok Ranjan said on Sunday afternoon that in view of the announcement of the movement, notices were sent to 26 people, including Murari Lal Saini. When he did not appear, he was arrested. Last year, the people of Saini community had blocked the road under the leadership of Murari Lal Saini. Talks were held with the government and many of their demands were accepted. The agitators against whom cases were registered in the protests during that period were not arrested. Phule Welfare Board was also constituted. After announcing the highway jam, Murari Lal did not appear on the notice, so warrant was issued and preventive arrest was made.

On Thursday, April 20, Murari Lal Saini had announced Chakkajam, after which the Bharatpur police arrested 6 people including Saini from Govardhan and sent them to jail. After this the movement flared up from Friday 21st April and the people of the society came and sat on the highway at 7.30 pm.

These are the main demands of the society

Now the main demand of the agitators is that all the people including Murari Lal Saini, the convenor of Phule Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti, should be released. Instead of Advisory Board, Lavkush Board should be constituted, in which there should be chairman, members and funds for development, 12 percent reservation was given for the society, because the population of the society in the state is more than 12 percent. A survey of the society should be conducted through the Rohini Commission.

There is anger in Rajasthan once again over the demand for reservation. The fire of the movement has reached the National Highway. Agra-Jaipur National Highway-21 in Bharatpur is jammed since 7.30 pm on Friday. People of Mali, Saini, Kushwaha, Maurya Samaj blocked the highway between Arora and Beri village demanding 12 percent reservation. The police are watching the spectacle from a kilometer away.
