Share Market Today: After a huge fall in the Indian stock market on Monday, 7 April, the market has made a tremendous comeback on Tuesday, 8 April. The kind of sharp fall that was seen on Monday had caused panic among the investors, but in today's session the market has given a sigh of relief.

The BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 875.83 points at 74,013.73 points on Tuesday, while the NSE Nifty rose 285.15 points to reach the level of 22,446.75. Given the huge fall on Monday, this bounce back is a positive sign for investors. Recall that on Monday, the Sensex opened with a fall of 3914.75 points at 71,449.94 and the Nifty opened with a fall of 1146 points at 21,758.40.

Tata Steel led the surge

In today's trade, shares of 29 out of 30 Sensex companies opened in the green, while only one company was seen in the red with a loss. Talking about Nifty, shares of 46 out of 50 companies rose. Tata Steel showed the highest jump with a gain of 5.02% and gave good returns to investors.

Looking at the performance of major companies

Tata Group companies performed well today. Titan gained 4.71%, Tata Motors 3.56%, and TCS 1.13%. Big stocks like Adani Ports (3.12%), Axis Bank (2.97%), Infosys (2.88%) and Tech Mahindra (2.82%) also strengthened the market.

Apart from this, companies like L&T, SBI, Bajaj Finserv, IndusInd Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, NTPC and Bharti Airtel also gained around 2%.

Recovery in banking and FMCG sector

Big banking stocks like ICICI Bank (1.52%), Kotak Mahindra Bank (1.49%), and HDFC Bank (0.40%) also saw recovery. In the FMCG sector, heavyweights like Nestle India, Hindustan Unilever and ITC also saw a slight rise, which indicates stability in the market.

The strength of the market in today's session shows that Monday's decline was an immediate reaction, whose impact was limited. This rise on Tuesday restores confidence in investors and indicates long-term stability of the market.
