Waqf Amendment Bill: Recently, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla constituted a JPC regarding the Waqf Bill. The Speaker has included 31 MPs in the JPC. This JPC will have 21 MPs from Lok Sabha and 10 MPs from Rajya Sabha. Jagdambika Pal has been made the chairman of this JPC. Owaisi and Imran Masood are also included in the JPC. Let us tell you that the Modi government had sent the Waqf Act Amendment Bill to the JPC yesterday. The Speaker also constituted a JPC on this today. It is called Joint Parliamentary Committee in Hindi, which means that it will have MPs from both the ruling and opposition parties. Let us tell you that in the meantime, the budget session proceedings of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned indefinitely.
