There has been a decrease of more than 18 lakhs in active cases since May 10. Corona testing has been increased rapidly in India in the last three weeks, but during this also a decrease in the infection rate has been observed. The infection rate in India is 8.31 percent. The daily positivity rate in India is now 6.62 percent. This is the lowest since April 21.

Talking about the state-wise figures, in the last 24 hours, 70813 tests of corona have been done in Delhi. During this, 623 new cases of corona have been registered. In the last 24 hours, 62 patients have died due to corona in the capital. During this, 1423 people have been cured. The infection rate in Delhi has come down to 0.88%. At present, the number of active cases of corona in Delhi is 10178. Here 4888 patients are in home isolation.

In Maharashtra too, the cases of corona are continuously decreasing. In the last 24 hours, 14,123 new cases of corona have been reported here. During this, 35,949 patients have been cured. The total number of cured people in Maharashtra is 54,31,319. The recovery rate in Maharashtra is 94.28%. In the last 24 hours, 477 people have lost their lives due to corona in Maharashtra. Here the death rate from corona has gone up to 1.67 percent. The number of active cases in the state is 2,30,681. At present, 17,68,119 people are in home quarantine while 9,315 people are in institutional quarantine.

There has also been a decline in corona cases in Uttar Pradesh. In the last 24 hours, 1430 new cases have been reported. The maximum number of 38000 cases were reported in UP on 30 April. So far 61 districts of UP have got exemption from Corona Curfew. In UP, 5625 people have been cured in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the number of active cases in the state is 32578. The recovery rate in the state is 96.9 percent and the positivity rate is 0.4 percent. Talking about Bihar, 1174 new cases of corona have been reported here in the last 24 hours. During this 59 people have died. The number of active cases in Bihar is 14,250.

In Rajasthan, 2040 cases of corona have been reported and 65 have died. The number of active patients in the state is 37477. At the same time, 26,513 new cases of corona have been reported in Tamil Nadu, while 490 people have lost their lives due to corona in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases in the state is 2,96,131. Whereas so far 24,722 people have lost their lives due to Corona.

At the same time, if we talk about the data across the country, according to the Ministry of Health, after 43 days, the number of active cases of corona in the country has come down to 20 lakhs. In the last 24 hours, 1.27 lakh new cases of corona have been reported in India, while less than 2800 Kovid patients have died.
