The feeling of distrust within Congress regarding Nitish Kumar's attitude is not reducing. The activities going on in recent days are increasing the reasons for doubt about Nitish Kumar. Therefore, Nitish's attitude within the India alliance remains a matter of curiosity.

In fact, in the National Council meeting, JDU had questioned Congress and raised many questions about not giving full credit to Nitish Kumar, the architect of India Alliance. JDU had clearly said that Congress does not seem to be giving JDU credit on the issue of caste census.

Why is Nitish not being made coordinator?

JDU had decided that JDU itself will publicize the work done in Bihar by touring the entire country. In recent times, JDU's national spokesperson KC Tyagi has also raised serious questions against Congress regarding the timing of Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra.

Obviously, ever since Nitish Kumar himself assumed the post of National President, JDU has been openly aggressive against Congress. JDU's method of staking claim on seats in Arunachal Pradesh and Bihar has become a thorn in the neck for RJD and Congress. JDU is making claims to contest elections on 17 seats. At the same time, there are 16 seats where it has won MPs. JDU does not seem ready to leave him.

Not only this, JDU has clearly said that JDU's alliance is with RJD. Therefore, she has informed RJD about her feelings. As far as Left and Congress are concerned, RJD is free to talk about the remaining Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. The meeting regarding seat sharing in Bihar was held on Monday at the house of Congress leader Mukul Wasnik, in which no leader from JDU participated. According to sources, Congress was focusing on talks with RJD in this meeting, leaving aside the 16 seats won by JDU in Bihar.

Congress has understood that any kind of pressure on JDU can be counter productive for the India alliance. Therefore, Congress has demanded RJD representative Manoj Jha to contest elections on eight of the remaining seats. Congress is working on the strategy that except for 16 seats of JDU, it is appropriate to take forward the talks regarding seat sharing between Congress, RJD and Left parties on the remaining 24 seats.

Congress and RJD are keeping a close watch on JDU's attitude

Congress has demanded eight seats in the meeting at Mukul Wasnik's house. Congress has said that RJD needs to show big courage in view of the Lok Sabha elections, because RJD has always been a big partner in the assembly elections. In fact, Congress has expressed its desire to contest elections on Samastipur, Nawada, Aurangabad, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Buxar, Kishanganj and one other seat.

Congress is not staking its claim on Katihar seat strongly, because JDU MP Dularchand Goswami is the winning MP from there. Although senior Congress leader Tariq Anwar wants to contest elections from Katihar, but considering the tough attitude of JDU, Congress has considered it better to lay down its arms for the Katihar seat.

Actually, after the demand of Congress, pressure on RJD has increased. RJD leader Manoj Jha was present in the meeting and considering the demand of Congress, Manoj Jha has said in the meeting that he will work to put the demand of Congress in front of the top leadership of RJD. Obviously RJD is in a dilemma considering the attitude of JDU.

RJD has 79 MLAs and RJD's hold on 35 percent votes is said to be strong. But the way JDU is behaving. Due to this the pressure within RJD has increased. RJD knows that if JDU's demands are not accepted at this time, then JDU can break ties with RJD. Therefore, before the Lok Sabha elections, the coalition government in Bihar may be in danger.

According to a Congress leader, Ashok Chaudhary, a big leader of JDU and very close to Nitish Kumar, is in constant touch with Raj Bhavan these days. Congress and RJD are keeping an eye on his activities. Therefore, RJD and Congress are working hard to keep the India alliance and government strong in Bihar.

Why is RJD in a dilemma?

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav are maintaining silence these days. In opposition to JDU, RJD had lost the elections on almost a dozen seats in the year 2019, out of which RJD wants some seats back from JDU quota at any cost. These include seats like Madhepura, Jehanabad, Katihar, Madhubani, Jhanjharpur. Lalu Prasad has previously contested elections from Madhepura. JDU has a winning MP from Jehanabad, but Surendra Yadav, the current minister in Bihar government, wants to contest elections from there. Surendra Yadav had lost the last election by just 1700 votes.

Obviously RJD wants to keep Jehanabad in its quota. Same is the condition of Madhubani. From where RJD's Abdul Bari wants to contest the elections, JDU has decided to field Sanjay Jha on Darbhanga seat of that area also.

RJD, which wants to contest elections on equal number of seats as JDU and wants to exchange some seats won by JDU, is now under pressure. RJD intends to win 12 Lok Sabha seats at any cost to maintain a strong hold on national politics. But the demand of eight seats by JDU as well as Congress has increased RJD's problems manifold.

Why did Nitish's change of attitude create a political stir?

JDU leader and minister Vijay Chaudhary has categorically said yesterday i.e. on Wednesday that JDU means only RJD. Not only this, Vijay Choudhary has repeatedly addressed the name of the opposition alliance as Indi alliance on the lines of BJP, due to which the constituent parties of India alliance have raised eyebrows. It is being said that what decision will Nitish take on the invitation for the consecration of Ram Lala? Political turmoil has intensified regarding this.

According to sources, Nitish Kumar can surprise everyone like G-20 by attending the consecration of Ram Lalla. Obviously, that is why it is being said that after January 22, a new political game may start in Bihar and Nitish Kumar may once again go to the side of NDA. Because of this unreliable image, Congress has decided to avoid giving key responsibilities to Nitish Kumar.
