Now 241 acres of land for Shri Ram idol - The scope of land acquisition increased by two and a half times for the world's tallest statue
Now 241 acres of land will be taken at Majha Barhata for the 251 meter high statue of Lord Shri Ram in Ramnagari. Earlier it was decided to acquire only 86 acres of land for the idol. But now the scope of acquisition has been increased by about two and a half times.

Under the Green Field Township Scheme, the Housing Development Department will acquire the land and get the development work done here and later the land will be handed over to the Tourism Department. Now the ground preparation for acquisition has started. The Housing Department has also issued a notification for this on 24 April 2022.

The announcement of making the world's tallest statue of Shri Ram in Ayodhya was made by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a time when the decision of Ram temple had not even come. The government had also allocated Rs 100 crore for the idol of Shri Ram in the last tenure itself. Three years have passed since then but nothing has been done about the idol at the ground level.

Now again there is a BJP government in the state and Yogi Adityanath has become the Chief Minister again. In such a situation, the exercise of taking this ambitious plan on the ground has also intensified. However, now the system has changed for erecting the idol. Earlier this scheme was with the tourism department, but now the housing development department will buy and develop the land and give the land to the tourism department.

After which the tourism department will work to decorate the idol of Shri Ram here. In Ayodhya, the process of acquisition of 1192 acres of land of Manjha Barhta, Manjha Tihura and Manjha Shahnawajpur is going on by the Housing Development Department under Land Development, Homestead and Market Scheme. So far, about 73 percent of the land has been acquired.

At the same time, now 241.63 acres of land will be taken under this scheme. In such a situation, the scope of the ongoing acquisition of 1192 acres has now become a total of 1433 acres. For the idol of Shri Ram, different Gata numbers of land are to be acquired in the east, west, north and south direction of Manjha Barhata.

In this regard, the Housing Development Council has also issued a notification under Section 28 of the 1965 Act. In such a situation, now the process of land acquisition has also accelerated. Objections have been sought within 30 days regarding the land. After this the objections will be settled and then the process of taking land from the farmers will start.

The plan to install a 251 meter high statue of Shri Ram is going on for three years. Firstly, a proposal was made to install the idol on 61 hectares of land in Meerapur Doaba village. This land was located near the crematorium. There was protest against compensation here. The matter reached the High Court. Some were even compensated.

After this the land conservation committee examined the land and declared it unsuitable for the idol. After this the land was marked for the idol in Manjha Barhata. For this, a new notification was issued on 17 April 2021. Many such projects will be established around the idol of Shri Ram, which will increase the grandeur and divinity of the idol.

The 251 meter high idol of Shri Ram will also have a 20 meter high chakra. The idol will stand on a base 50 meters high. A grand museum will be built under the base itself. Where all the incarnations of Lord Vishnu will be shown through technology. Here digital museum, food plaza, land scaping, library, gallery of Ramayana period are proposed.
