Court has issued arrest warrant against four accused who are absconding in Karauli violence case. The main accused in the riots include Rajaram Gurjar, husband of Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation Mayor Soumya Gurjar, Sahab Singh Gurjar, state president of Hindu Sena, who are absconding after the violence.
SIT team in-charge ASP Kishor Butolia said that the CJM court judge has issued arrest warrants against former Karauli Municipal Council chairman Rajaram Gurjar, councilor Matloob Ahmed, gym owner Anchi Khan and Sahab Singh Gurjar, who are absconding in the violence case. So far 41 FIRs have been registered regarding the violence. Of these, one Karauli police and the rest different victims have registered a case. In the case, police have so far identified about 144 accused on the basis of video footage, calls, location etc.

Karauli ViolenceOn April 2, miscreants pelted stones at a bike rally taken out on Hindu New Year in Karauli. People fled leaving their vehicles and bikes. More than 35 shops, houses and bikes were set ablaze by the miscreants. In view of the deteriorating situation, first section 144, curfew and then internet service was stopped in the city. 43 people including policemen were injured in the violence. After this incident, curfew was extended here several times. It was said that stones were pelted at the rally for playing provocative songs on the DJ, after which violence broke out.
