Delhi Bjp Policies: After forming the government in Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken rapid steps towards fulfilling its election promises. Rekha Gupta started the cleaning campaign of Yamuna river soon after taking oath as Chief Minister and now on Saturday, she is going to give two big gifts to the people of Delhi. Before Holi, on March 8, the Delhi Cabinet is going to pass two important schemes - 'Mahila Samridhi Yojana' and 'Holi-Diwali Cylinder Scheme'.
Mahila Samridhi Yojana and Holi-Diwali Cylinder SchemeAfter 12 noon on Saturday, the government will officially announce the 'Mahila Samridhi Yojana'. Under this scheme, poor women of Delhi will be given financial assistance of Rs 2500 every month. Along with this, the government has also planned to give free gas cylinders on the occasion of Holi and Diwali.
Both these schemes will be passed in the Delhi Cabinet meeting at 11 am on Saturday, immediately after which the formal announcement of the implementation of these schemes will be made in a grand ceremony at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Steps towards fulfillment of election promisesOn 17 January 2025, the Bharatiya Janata Party released its manifesto for the Delhi Assembly elections. In this manifesto, BJP National President J.P. Nadda promised to give Rs 2500 every month to the poor women of Delhi, a subsidy of Rs 500 on gas cylinders, and one free cylinder each on Holi-Diwali. Apart from this, he also assured that all the public welfare schemes running in Delhi will be continued and made corruption-free.
Results of Assembly Elections 2025In the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, the Bharatiya Janata Party won a majority by winning 48 out of 70 seats and formed the government. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party was reduced to only 22 seats. The BJP chose Rekha Gupta as the Chief Minister, who immediately started the cleaning campaign of Yamuna after taking oath. Now she is busy fulfilling other election promises.
These initial steps of Rekha Gupta's government show that the BJP is committed to turning its election promises into reality. It will be interesting to see in the coming days what other schemes the BJP government implements and how much the living standards of the people improve.
