Rajasthan News: A large number of tribal community people from neighboring states gathered at Mangarh Dham in Rajasthan's Banswara district on Thursday to demand a separate 'Bhil' state. Addressing a public event organised by tribal leaders at Mangarh Dham, a revered place for tribals, newly elected MP Rajkumar Roat said that the demand for a Bhil state is long pending and the Bharatiya Adivasi Party (BAP) is raising this issue with full force.Roat, while addressing the gathering, said, "The demand for Bhil Pradesh is not new. BAP is raising this demand strongly. After the mega rally, a delegation will meet the President and the Prime Minister with the proposal." He said that he will also raise this issue in the Lok Sabha. Roat wrote on his social media handle 'X', "The sacrifice of more than 1500 tribals at Mangarh in 1913 was not just for the Bhakti movement, but for the demand of Bhil province." Demand to form a new state by combining 49 districtsTo raise this demand, BAP MLA from Aspur Umesh Meena and party MLA from Dhariawad Thawarchand Damor reached the Rajasthan Assembly today wearing T-shirts demanding a Bhil state. The tribal community is demanding a new Bhil state by combining 49 districts of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.The government said - a state cannot be formed on the basis of casteRegarding the demand for Bhil Pradesh, the government's tribal minister Babulal Kharari said that a state cannot be formed on the basis of caste. If this happens, then other people will also make demands. We will not send a proposal to the Center. Kharari also said that those who changed religion will not get the benefit of tribal reservation. Kharari made this statement during his visit to Dungarpur.
