Two girls kidnapped for begging, accused arrested

In Vivek Vihar area, a man kidnapped two girls who had gone to take prasad outside the temple. The accused started absconding with them with the intention of begging, but the driver got suspicious of the accused in the e-rickshaw in which he walked from the temple. He immediately informed the matter to the police. Police nabbed the accused from Seemapuri border. The accused has been identified as Sanjay (40) resident of Chhapra (Bihar).

The police successfully recovered both the girls aged seven and four and handed them over to the parents. District Deputy Commissioner of Police R.Sathasundaram honored the e-rickshaw driver Brahmdutt Rajput by calling the DCP office. Vivek Vihar police station has started investigation by registering a case of kidnapping against accused Sanjay.

Shahdara District Deputy Commissioner of Police said that 20-year-old Brahmadutt had called the police control room earlier in the day on Friday. He told that a young man made two girls sit in his e-rickshaw from the Balaji temple located in Vivek Vihar. When Brahmadutt became suspicious of the young man, he tried to inquire.

The accused got down with the girls at Chintamani Chowk near Seemapuri giving a befitting reply. On receiving the news, the police swung into action and immediately alerted the traffic policemen present near Chintamani Chowk. Local police also reached there. Shortly after, the accused was caught roaming there with both the girls. During interrogation, accused Sanjay told that he had kidnapped both the girls on the pretext of feeding them.
