Maharashtra | Two women who tried to sell a 15-day-old baby have been arrested. According to the police, both these women were doing a deal for Rs 4.5 lakh in a nursing home in Zion area. The Mumbai Police caught Julia Fernandez (35 years) and Shabana Shaikh (30 years) red handed.Police say that a person named Jayaprakash Jadhavan had complained about this. He works in an adoption center in Pune. He got information that a woman from Mumbai wants to sell the girl child. After this this information was given to the child welfare authorities. When the Mumbai Police came to know about this, they laid a trap.When the complainant spoke to Fernandez over phone, he demanded Rs 4.5 lakh. Officials say that out of this Rs 4 lakh was to be given to the girl's parents and the rest was her own charge. Fernandez called the complainant to the nursing home. After this, only a policeman arrived as the complainant's wife. The baby was handed over to him. After this the police caught both the women red handed and arrested them.
