Vande Bharat Train: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the Ministry of Railways to bring a "Vande Metro", like the Vande Bharat trains. “Vande Metro” is like the concept of a train running between two big stations nearby. Speaking to reporters, the Railway Minister also said that Indian Railways has given a subsidy of Rs 59,000 crore in transportation of food grains, fertilizers and many other things last year which is equal to 55 per cent concession for each passenger.Will run between two cities within 100 KMAshwini Vaishnav said, “The Honorable Prime Minister has given a target for this year. After the success of the Vande Bharat train, (he) asked to develop a new world-class regional train, which would be the Vande Metro." Explaining the concept of “Vande Metro”, he said that the trains will be run with high frequency between two cities which are less than 100 kms each.Said this on hydrogen train and bullet trainOn Friday, when Rail told that the prototype of India's first hydrogen train will run on the tracks of the country in December this year and the target is to run India's first bullet train in August 2026.
