Veteran actor Anupam Shyam played the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2 and died today. This year he turned 63 years old. A few days ago he was hospitalized for kidney-related problems and is currently in the intensive care unit. In the last few days, they put a fan on him. He died today of multiple organ failure.
In March last year, the actor was hospitalized after experiencing severe kidney problems. When they struggled to pay the hospital bills, his brother even asked for financial help.
After the actor has recovered, he had to undergo regular dialysis. When Mann Kee Awaaz season 2 is released in 2021, he returned to work.
Apparently, he used to finish filming and then undergo dialysis three times a week.
In an interview, he said that despite his poor health, he played the role of Thakur Sajjan Singh in Pratigya 2. As people liked his role, he did not want to disappoint his fans in the second season.
He had said, “Zindagi ki jung ladh raha tha, wahan se aa gaye hain ab. Now with the show Pratigya, I want to entertain the audience again.”
The actor who hails from Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh started his career in 1993. He is an alumnus of Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts in Lucknow. He has been a part of popular Bollywood movies like Dastak, Dil Se…, Lagaan, Golmaal, and Munna Michael.
