Manipur Violence: Violence in Manipur is not taking the name of stopping. Violence erupted once again on Monday night amid curfew in many districts of the state. In this, a BSF jawan has died while two soldiers of Assam Rifles have been injured. In view of the violence, the government of Manipur has extended the internet ban till June 10. Internet has been banned in the state since May 3. More than 90 people have died so far in the violence that broke out between two communities in the state on May 3. In view of the tense situation, curfew is still in force in 11 districts. In an order issued by the Manipur government on Monday evening, it has been said that internet services will be suspended for five more days, i.e. from the afternoon of June 10. Net will be banned till 3 pm.In a statement issued by the Indian Army, it has been said that one BSF jawan has died while two Assam Rifles soldiers have been injured. The injured jawans have been airlifted to Mantripukhari, where they are undergoing treatment. According to the statement, there was intermittent firing from the militants throughout the night of June 5-6, to which the security forces responded effectively. In this firing, a BSF jawan was martyred.Mortar, 40 weapons including ammunition recoveredAmidst the violence, area donation operation was started across Manipur on Saturday by the Army, Assam Rifles, Police and CAPFs. During this, 40 weapons including mortar, ammunition were recovered. Most of these weapons were automatic. After the violence, the search operation has been intensified in many areas to recover the looted weapons.Judicial commission will investigate violenceAmid the ongoing violence in Manipur, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the state for three days last week. Where he also visited many areas affected by the violence and also met the families of the victims. On the last day of the tour, Shah announced the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the violence. The retired Justice of the High Court has been included in the three-member commission.Apart from this, he also talked about giving compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of those who lost their lives in the violence. In this, 5 lakh rupees will be given from the state government and 5 lakh rupees from the central government. He warned the people who spread violence in clear words and appealed to return the looted weapons from the government armory.
