Bangladesh Violence: The US has categorically rejected the allegations against it in the coup and political upheaval in Bangladesh and said that we have no hand in it. The US has rejected allegations of government involvement in this crisis, in which hundreds of people died due to protests in the country. Denying all reports and rumors, White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean Pierre said in a media briefing on Monday, "We have no involvement in this. Any talk or such report is just a rumor that the United States government was involved in all these events, it is absolutely false." Jean Pierre further said that the Bangladeshi people should decide the future of the Bangladeshi government. This is a choice for them and on their behalf. Any such allegation is definitely wrong and absolutely false that the US has a hand in such an incident. America is keeping an eye-said Pierre

Meanwhile, speaking on the protests outside the White House against the recent attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, White House Press Secretary Jean Pierre said that the US will continue to monitor the situation. I have nothing more to say or add beyond this. When it comes to any kind of human rights issue here, our president has been very consistent in speaking clearly publicly and privately and he will continue to do so.

Kugelman had also rejected the allegations

Recently, in an interview with ANI, US-based foreign policy expert and director of the South Asia Institute at the Wilson Center Michael Kugelman refuted allegations of foreign interference behind the massive uprising that led to the ouster of Sheikh Hasina from power. He had clearly said that no evidence of any kind has been found to support these claims.

Kugelman had said that the Hasina government's harsh action on the protesters increased the movement. My view on this is very simple. I see it as a crisis that was driven entirely by internal factors, students who were unhappy with a particular issue, job quotas that they didn't like and they were upset about the government. The Sheikh Hasina government came down very hard on the students and after that the movement became much bigger and it was driven solely by internal factors.

Kugelman rejected allegations by Sheikh Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, who claimed foreign interference was behind the protests, saying the unrest was driven by "internal factors".
